The Rams Decision

At the time of Kenny's Career, the Chicago Bears were one of many teams that denied Kenny's place into the NFL. It was no surprise that NFL teams would notice Kenny Washington. His games were just too impressive, and he was invited to many college sports events.

When the Rams moved to Los Angeles in 1946, Kenny was taken into consideration. The Rams learned that if they practiced in discrimination, then they couldn't use the Los Angeles Coliseum. Since they couldn't use the Coliseum, the Rams would lose out on a lot of benefits.

Kenny's Chance

On March 21, 1946, history was made, and barriers were broken. After a 13-year ban, an African American joined the NFL. The Rams made one of the best decisions for any team. According to Kenny Washington, "Records are made to be Broken." He got a 92-yard touchdown during his career in the NFL. Which hasn't been broken yet on the Rams, since Kenny.  However, Kenny's knee's gave out on him. After a 3-year NFL career, he had to retire in 1948. Luckily, his last game was his best. 80,000 people showed up to his last game.
